In this mad journey of ours it can easy to lose track of where we’ve been. So, with a little help from Google Maps I’ve decided to combine it all together in a beautiful visual representation of the ride so far. I’ve linked everything in here, not only the routes and cities we’ve been to, but also our blog posts in those areas, and I’ll be keeping it up to date as we go along. So, you can click on the map, choose a spot, sit down in your favorite comfy chair with a good ‘ol beverage and read to your heart’s content. It’ll provide fodder for evening relaxation, dinner party conversation and friends.
Feel free to send it round for others who might be wondering where we are.

Nina, may I ask how you were able to add an interactive google map to your wp blog? I have been trying to figure it out to no avail. Thanks!
House Truckin’
Indeed it was not easy to figure out and I ended up hand-coding it in HTML. I’ll send ya an e-mail w/ the code. It’s a bit of a fiddle to make it work, but once you do it should look good.
Nina
Hi Nina…I’m still enjoying your posts! Can you, when you get a chance, send me the code for this? I would be grateful! btw, I watched Atlas Shrugged the movie last night…I thought it was well done. Have you seen it yet?
I’ll e-mail it to you right now…Nina

I am so happy I found your site. I just recently learned about fulltime rv’ing and can’t wait til I am able to do it. I still have a few years before retirement,
but I am reading everything I can about it, and also getting rid of everything I won’t be taking with me. The people I read about I can really relate to everything they are doing and their ideas. I do have my new ‘home’ picked out and it will suit me perfectly. I will probably be doing this as a ‘single rv’er, and would appreciate any books, websites or helpful hints you can tell me about going it alone. I will have a cat or 2 with me. Thank you for all your information. Hope to meet many new friends one day.
Hi Nancy,
How exciting for your up-coming full-timing! Totally dig that you’re going it alone. As for websites I would really recommend the RV Forums as one of the best places to learn and get involved. I’ve learnt soooo much from them. Several of them have singles groups/threads too where you can talk to others who full-time on their own.
And definitely hope to meet you on the road someday. Do stay in touch.

Hi, Nina. My husband, Hector is an avid reader of your blog. We’ve been researching and preparing for four years and will finally be taking off in late October of this year with our dog, Angel. I read one of your posts awhile ago where you mentioned a reasonable movie downloading service and can’t seem to find it again, could you send me the information when you get a chance. We’re getting down to those last final details. We are so excited! I hope we cross paths sometime (we plan to spend the winter in Florida, I know, VERY original). Keep up the great work on your blog.
Brenda
Hi Brenda,
Congrats on your upcoming fulltiming!!! It’ll be here before you know it!
We haven’t actually downloaded any movies on the road, but we do use Redbox quite a bit. You can find them all around (7-11 and Walmart are common locations) and the rentals are super-cheap ($1.20 per movie). Unfortunately our limited data-plan on Verizon keeps us from downloading movies over the internet.

Hello again! My hubby and I would love to travel through South America, likely in an old campervan, rather than our 5th wheel. Have you guys ever considered driving down the Pan Am highway? We are particularly curious about getting through the Darien Gap and then driving through Colombia. I’ve looked online for caravans making the trip, but no luck. Hmmmm…
I haven’t seen that trip on a blog, but you might want to try the forums. I know rv.net has a forum dedicated to Mexico and S.America so you may be able to get more info there. Lots of folks on that forum who travel part or full-time in S.America.
Nina
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
